Do you enjoy paddling endlessly through large bodies of water? Do you like helping charities? What about puppies? And ice cream? Perhaps, then, the Big Heart Paddle event tomorrow at the Miami Yacht Club is for you — minus, a puppy and ice cream scoop or two.
The event, benefiting Bravery Beads Foundation, is a paddleboarding race around Biscayne Bay. Even if you don’t enjoy paddleboarding — like many a Cultist blogger,
since our weak muscular structure doesn’t support such strenuous
activity — you are free to enjoy the festivities with the purchase of a
general admission ticket for $35.
Participants can register to do either three- or five-mile races, and
both women and men are welcome to join. Registration fee is either $75
for the 3-mile journey or $100 for the 5-mile. Registration, tickets, and more information is available at bigpaddleheart.com.
