Although none of the treats will be as magically delicious as Nancy’s popcorn balls on Weeds, you are sure to find a tasty pastry to satisfy your munchies at the Great American Bake Sale today from noon to 4:00 p.m. at the Fountain Court in Aventura Mall. Local bakeries and restaurants, including Chef Allen’s, Dolce Vita, and We Take the Cake, will bring out their best treats to fight hunger by raising funds for the nonprofit organization Share Our Strength. In addition to a cavity-inducing array of pies, cakes, cookies, and brownies, there will be entertainment, cooking demonstrations, and a cookie-decorating station for the little ones.
