Dreaming of a white Christmas? Picturing yourself holding a cup of hot chocolate as snowflakes drift from the sky in a moment so magical you almost believe God is sprinkling sugar on a world that’s been extra-good this year? No doubt excluded from these dreams are your fragile body parts freezing, your feet slipping and sliding as you walk, cars colliding on slick roads, and the other dismal realities that makes Northerners yearn for a green Christmas instead. Miamians who want what they cannot have can take refuge at Miami Seaquarium.
From December 26 through January 5, the Winter Nights and Lights Celebration will bring nighttime snowfall to the Magic City every 15 minutes, along with fireworks, a winter village, a kids’ winter express train, and enough fun and magic to fill the entire season. The fest is open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., closing at 6 on New Year’s Eve.
Dec. 26-Jan. 5, 9:30 a.m.-8 p.m., 2007
