Miami has finally recovered from its citywide Art Basel hangover, and is ready bring the world back to South Beach for some winter sun and sculpture. This weekend’s second annual Miami International Art Fair is both upscale and avant-garde, geared toward an urban crowd (the locals) and people who can afford to buy fine art (the rich and out-of-towners). Miami artists such as Christ Gast and Viking Funeral will be exhibiting next to international artists such as London’s Graham Hudson and Bogotá’s Felipe Arturo. Look for special projects by Spinello Gallery curator Gean Moreno and nomadic artist group the end/Spring Break. And Canadian artist Gordon Halloran will show frozen paintings from his Museum of Modern Ice. For further art fair exploration, check out the MIA app and a live blog broadcast.
