Wellness girlies (and bros) will soon have another reason to drop their mats in Little River. The neighborhood’s newly opened Wild Thing yoga studio has announced a year-long residency with popular athleisure and wellness brand Alo.

Each month in 2026, Wild Thing and Alo will collaborate on two events: one free community class and one ticketed session featuring refreshments and Alo gifting.

The series kicks off January 24 with Intentions in Motion, a community yoga flow class taught by Miami instructor April May Gardner. The first ticketed experience, Embodying Intentions, taught by Zoe Mitchell, will be on January 31 and costs $45 for members and $60 for nonmembers.

“We’re extremely intentional about who we bring into the Wild Thing ecosystem,” the studio’s cofounder, Alejandra Barraza, tells New Times. “When Alo reached out a few weeks ago, what stood out wasn’t just the scale of the brand, but really how aligned their values are with ours. Wild Thing was built around that same reverence for nature and the body. So, it felt less like a collaboration and more like a continuation of a shared philosophy.”

The residency marks Alo’s first long-term studio partnership in Miami, though the Los Angeles-based brand, founded in 2007, is well-established locally with several retail stores, including at Aventura Mall, Brickell City Centre, Dadeland Mall, and Lincoln Road.

“I think what excites me most about this is bringing in someone who wasn’t just going to show up for a one-off event,” Barraza says, adding that members are excited about the partnership. “We know our members are really connected to the brand and the mission, and they notice everything.

Wild Thing, which opened in November 2025, is a Tulum-inspired wellness space that offers hot yoga, breathwork, sound healing, and other movement classes. The 2,500-square-foot studio is located at 162 NW 73rd St., in the old Rosie’s space, and features outdoor showers, front and back gardens, and a cold plunge. It’s one of several new wellness spaces that have opened in Miami in recent months, including Tracy Anderson’s Coral Gables studio.
