Don’t wait for the New Year to start exercising. Dust off your running shoes and sign up for Live Ultimate RUN South Beach. The race lets you jog the length of Ocean Drive without the usual flock of tourists blocking your path. The course begins and ends at the swanky Nikki Beach Club (1 Ocean Dr., Miami Beach). And, of course, there’s a postrace party, where booze will help you put back on all the calories you just burned.
Can’t run the quarter-marathon’s 6.55 miles? Sign up for the 5K, which you can run or walk. You can even bring the kids for extra motivation. If your 8-year-old can do it, you can do it too.
