With 3 days left in our spring campaign, we have a new $10,000 goal!

It’s hard out there for a sea turtle. Beach development alters and/or destroys the creatures’ nesting and foraging habitats; they easily become entangled in marine debris or caught in commercial fishing nets; red tide can kill them; and many are struck by boats. To learn more about these endangered species and what you can do to help them, head to the Marjory Stoneman Douglas Biscayne Nature Center today at 4:00 for the 2nd Sundays ’til Sundown Welcome Back Sea Turtles event. Admission is five dollars, three for children, and members get in free. There is also a five dollar parking fee. Call 305-361-6767, or visit www.biscaynenaturecenter.org.
