For the Pubbelly boys, Christmas is coming early this year. Or at least Puerto Rican Christmas anyway. The trio has partnered with Goya Foods to bring the customs and traditions of Puerto Rico with La Parranda Christmas Festival this Wednesday. Chef Jose Mendin is cooking up a prix-fixe menu with over 10 dishes served family style. Think bacalaitos with tuna tartare and macadamia nuts, ensalada Boricua with local mangos and queso del pais, and la tripleta — a trifecta of lechon, housemade pastrami, and country ham served with frites. Two seatings (one at 7 p.m. and another at 9:30 p.m.) will gives you a taste of Mendin’s holiday cooking. Tickets cost $55 and can be purchased at pubbellyboys.com Have yourself a very porky Christmas.
