Millions of words have been written about the Beatles, but none comes close to witnessing the madness and music reaped in their wake. The anticipation of every new album, their cool and charisma, their influence on fashion and style, the revolutionary sounds they inspired — all became part of the Fab Four phenomenon.
Those still in awe will want to take notice of a special traveling exhibition — “Ladies and Gentlemen… the Beatles!” — that brings more than 400 pieces of Beatles memorabilia, artifacts, photographs, videos, and recordings to downtown Miami. Curated by the Grammy Museum and Fab Four Exhibits, it will be on display this Friday through January 18, 2015, at HistoryMiami (101 W. Flagler St., Miami).
Although it’s not like a stroll across Abbey Road, it will provide a fine trip down memory lane, all for the modest sum of $8 for adults, $7 for seniors and students, $5 for children 6 to 12, and nothing for anyone younger. Family fun days this Saturday and November 8 will get everyone in free beginning at 5 p.m. However, those who can’t resist the Beatles buzz are invited to attend an opening reception this Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. for $5 for History-Miami members and $15 for nonmembers. Yeah, yeah, yeah, get back to where you once belonged.
