29. Daniel “Krave” Fila

Look around the streets of Miami and your bound to see Daniel Fila’s artwork. Maybe he’s most famous for the “Adam and Eve” wall at 37th and Biscayne. It’s been featured on the news, in the paper, and in plenty of magazines. Hell, in 2007 we named it Miami’s Best City Mural. But the graff artist, illustrator, and painter doesn’t restrict himself to any single form of expression.

In 2010 Miami Dade County commissioned Fila to create an installation in a

public park. He created a “Babylon Falling” scene at A.D. Barnes Park.

He has a new commercial mural on a NW 79th St. restaurant (Yiya’s),

and a political tribute on Calle Ocho (to the Ladies In White). He’s

created album covers, magazine layouts, posters, and “live painted” at nightclubs. If you pick up one of 90,000 maps

of the Wynwood Art District, you’ll see his work too. Then there’s his

cartoon logo, a monkey you can find on stickers, stop signs, and many a

wall. He’s been in group shows, solo shows, and his work is known and

respected from the streets to the galleries to the government. Daniel
