Last night, the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas hosted the 2025 edition of the Latin Grammy Awards, and — as expected — many Miami regulars were among the night’s standout names.

Puerto Rican superstar Bad Bunny emerged as one of the ceremony’s top winners, securing five awards, including Album of the Year for Debí Tirar Más Fotos. The recognition underscores the momentum Benito is enjoying and gives yet another reason for the NFL to stand by its decision to book him as the 2026 Super Bowl Halftime Show performer, a choice that has stirred controversy among MAGA fans.

Just weeks after spending time in Miami for the Billboard Latin Music Awards, Bad Bunny returned to the stage in Las Vegas to accept trophies for Best Urban/Urban Fusion Performance, Best Reggaeton Performance, Best Urban Music Album, Best Urban Song, and the coveted Album of the Year.

“Brother, this is always a special moment for me. And I get just as nervous as the first time. That means that what I do matters to me,” Bad Bunny said during one of his acceptance speeches.

Fresh off their III Points performance in Miami last month, Argentine duo Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso matched Benito with five wins of their own. The hip-hop fusion pair — who not only played Day 1 of the Wynwood festival but were later spotted dancing to Sean Paul’s set — earned ten nominations and won for Best Pop Song, Best Alternative Music Album, Best Alternative Song, Best Short Form Music Video, and Best Long Form Music Video. They accepted their awards in their signature flamboyant style.

Gloria Estefan, who recently had a South Beach street named in her honor as she celebrates 50 years of career, secured Best Traditional Tropical Album for Raíces. Karol G took home Song of the Year for “Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido,” an anthem that has practically become required listening for anyone stuck in Miami traffic on I-95.

Miami producer Mr. Pauer was nominated for Best Latin Electronic Music Performance for “Rulay En Dubai (Extended),” though the award ultimately went to “Veneka” by Rawayana featuring Akapellah.

One of the night’s defining moments came when Bad Bunny performed “Weltita,” a standout from his award-winning album, backed by the band Chuwi. Benito is also nominated for six categories at the 68th Annual Grammy Awards, set for February 2026 in Los Angeles, including Record, Song, and Album of the Year — making him the first Latin artist to earn nominations in all three major categories in the same year.
