Who said brunch was reserved for Mother’s Day? On June 20, fathers can also enjoy unlimited mimosas bloody marys and lots of food at one of the local restaurants honoring dads with brunch.

Essensia at The Palms Hotel is adding lots of meat to its brunch with a fajita bar and an outdoor grill. Best of all it’s $39 per person and $19 for kids under 12. Drinks are not included but mojito and bloody mary pitchers go for $12. 3025 Collins Ave.; 305-908-5458.
For the more laid-back, not-into-brunch fathers, Pinecrest Gardens is cooking up burgers, hot dogs, ribs, corn on the cob and more for Dad’s Brew and Bar-B-Q from 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.. It’s nothing fancy, just a day of food and music out in the garden. Cost is $25 adults and $10 children 5-10. To reserve, call 305-669-6990.

And, finally, if your father would rather do the cooking, chef Gonzalo Rivera at La Marea at The Tides will teach fathers how to grill the perfect burger. Starting at 3 p.m., the two-hour class ends with a four-course burger menu and a cigar. As an added bonus, dad gets two hours of alone time away from home. Cost is $65. Seating is limited.
