Homegrown hip-hop festival Rolling Loud has announced it will host a concert benefiting those affected by the raging wildfires in the Los Angeles area. The concert, dubbed Loud Aid, will take place at Kemistry nightclub in Fort Lauderdale on Monday, January 20, featuring a stacked lineup of rappers.
The impressive roster of talent includes Ski Mask the Slump God, Pouya, Luh Tyler, 1900Rugrat, DJ Scheme, Robb Bank$, and Danny Towers, as well as the promise of special guests.
The festival supporting the wildfire relief efforts isn’t entirely out of left field. In addition to the original Miami festival, Rolling Loud also hosts a West Coast edition in Los Angeles. This year’s edition will return March 15 and 16 at the Hollywood Park Grounds, with A$AP Rocky, Playboi Carti, and Peso Pluma set to headline.
Rolling Loud is one of many music industry organizations supporting wildfire relief efforts. The Recording Academy’s philanthropic arm, MusiCares, has pledged to support music professionals affected by the fires, making a $1 million donation to kick off its fundraising efforts. Live Nation has also announced it plans to host FireAid, a benefit concert at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California, on January 30 with performances by Billie Eilish, Gracie Abrams, Green Day, Jelly Rolly, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Sting, and others.
Will you step up to support New Times this year?
At New Times, we’re small and scrappy — and we make the most of every dollar from our supporters. Right now, we’re $17,800 away from reaching our December 31 goal of $30,000. If you’ve ever learned something new, stayed informed, or felt more connected because of New Times, now’s the time to give back.
For Loud Aid, Rolling Loud is pledging all ticket proceeds to GoFundMe’s Wildfire Relief Fund.
