What’s warm, and wet, and makes the world go ’round? Vaginas!
And artist Allison Kotzig, American native and part-time Slovakia resident, has several on a wall in Wynwood’s Hangar space, which gives a hole new meaning to art opening. (See what we did there?)
The surprisingly realistic, yet creepily detached sets of labias are stuck to wood panels, and have various patterns of tiny plastic human babies pouring out of them. There are three works to choose from on display, and a quick look at the artist’s website shows a true commitment to pocket pussy as media.
