Nicklaus Children’s Hospital is on lockdown while Miami-Dade Police investigate reports of an active shooter and a bomb threat, according to the department’s Twitter feed.
The threat was reported around 3 p.m. “Precautionary measures” are being taken to ensure the safety of patients, doctors, and visitors.
A hospital representative tells Local 10 there wasn’t actually a shooting, but Det. Daniel Ferrin tells the news station the hospital has been evacuated as a precaution while police investigate the threat.

But police are also telling bystanders that there doesn’t appear to be any active threat they’ve found:
