It seemed Lil Wayne’s big legal problems were over when he got out of the clink late last year, but the federal government still has beef with President Carter. The rapper owes about $5.6 million to the Internal Revenue Service, and a lien in that amount was filed against his Miami mansion in Miami-Dade court last Monday, according to the Detroit News. Check out pics of Wayne’s Miami pad below.
Wayne failed to pay at least some of his taxes for 2008 and 2009, and the IRS isn’t too pleased. The $5,601,033.99 lien was levied against his Miami Beach mansion. Coincidentally, the nine-bedroom, nine-bath, 15,000-square-foot pad on La Gorce Island is on the market for $12.9 million.
This isn’t the first time Lil Wayne has found himself in the IRS’s crosshairs. He settled a $1.13 million lien this past December.
