In pornos, prison-guard-on-inmate sex makes for a reliable plot. In real life, it makes for a pretty serious crime. Just ask Jack Chris Jackson. The former employee at the Federal Correctional Institute in Miami pleaded guilty to having sex with numerous inmates and now could face up to 15 years in prison himself.
Jackson, 45, was a href=”http://www.justice.gov/opa/pr/2011/September/11-crt-1164.html”>indicted in September on charges of sexual abuse of an inmate (all sex between prison employees and inmates is legally considered abuse, even if it is consensual) and giving false statements. FCI is a medium-security prison that houses male inmates.
Jackson was questioned about carrying on a sexual relationship with an inmate in July, but he originally denied the charges. U.S. Department of Justice investigators pushed forward with the case anyway, and then also hit Jackson with charges of making false statements.
According to the Sun-Sentinel, Jackson pleaded guilty yesterday to carrying on the nearly year-long sexcapades with the inmate. He also admitted to having sex with a few other inmates at the prison.
Jackson’s sentencing is scheduled for March. He faces a maximum of 15 years behind bars.
