Last month, we here at Crossfade noticed that downtown Miami was starting to look a hell of a lot like L.A.’s Sunset Strip. And we took some pictures to prove it.

For a very brief moment, we panicked, thinking the Big Money was trying to push all the hipsters off NE 14th Street. But then a less paranoid friend said it was just Tommy Cruise and New Line Cinema prepping street sets for the film adaptation of a Broadway musical called Rock Of Ages.

Now, as Crossfade reported this morning, the sets are done and shooting starts tonight. So we took another trip to 14th Street and snapped a bunch more pictures.

See the cut for 15 photos From Rock of Ages‘ (finally finished) fake Sunset Strip in downtown Miami.
