I recently stopped by Afrobeta’s beautiful downtown home recording studio to drop off a LeBron CD, and to check if they needed a guitarist for their tour. I love Afro Beta, and if I could work with any local band it would be them. You should have seen them at Ultra. Jesus!
Local songwriter Jesse Jackson was hanging out, and that’s him on the couch in the video above. The tenants of this crib were in the process of writing and recording songs for their upcoming album, and packing up to go on tour. I was lucky enough to be there with my camera. This music is pure Miami; look at the view from their window, and look at their adorable dog at the end of this clip.
