Is it getting caliente in here? Yes, hot and sweaty and crazy, papo. Because iHeartRadio Fiesta Latina, the annual Latin music-focused mini-festival from the internet radio platform owned by iHeartMedia, Inc. (formerly known as Clear Channel Media and Entertainment), has just revealed a secret: It’s moving the party to the American Airlines Arena in downtown Miami.
Last year, iHeartRadio held its first-ever Fiesta Latina in Los Angeles, starring Ricky Martin, Pitbull, J. Balvin, Becky G, Roberto Tapia, Alejandra Guzmán, Prince Royce, La Original Banda El Limón, Voz A Voz, Daddy Yankee, and Jesse & Joy. But for this year’s show, the mass media company has decided to relocate from the City of Angels to the Capital of Latin America.
Since 2012, iHeartRadio’s major yearly concert event in Miami has been the Ultimate Pool Party, bringing stars like Maroon 5, Flo Rida, Enrique Iglesias, Pitbull, Ke$ha, Afrojack, Jennifer Lopez, Iggy Azalea, Ariana Grande, and Tiësto to the Fontainebleau Miami Beach for the last three years.
For 2015, though, the Ultimate Pool Party has been renamed (becoming the Summer Pool Party) and relocated to Vegas. In exchange, the Magic City will host the Fiesta Latina, likely because iHeartRadio’s television broadcast partner is set to be Telemundo, the Spanish-language network that’s headquartered in Hialeah.
The show will also be broadcast on the internet and conventional radio, with a video stream via Yahoo Live (yahoo.com/iheartradio) and live audio on many of iHeartMedia’s Latin-format radio stations.
So far, there’s no lineup for iHeartRadio Fiesta Latina 2015.
But we’ve been assured it’s gonna be caliente.
