$7,500

For 12 consecutive seasons, locals have gathered en masse at Miami’s oldest bar to suck heads, sip brews, and listen to tunes. This year is no different.

Sunday marks the 2013 incarnation of Tobacco Road’s famous New Orleans-style Crawfish Boil. This free seafood fest is an afternoon of food, drinks, music, and 1,500 Miamians getting their Cajun on.

Every year, the Road partners with Rosey Baby, which cooks up several thousand pounds of crawfish in a massive boiler in the back of a truck. Then, attendees can score the steaming-hot suckers by the pound (based on market price).

There’ll also be drink promos, buckets of beer, and other food specials.

The shindig is family-friendly, and there’ll be activities to keep the kids busy while the grownups mix, mingle, and masticate.

And it wouldn’t be the Road without tunes. Live entertainment this year includes the Legendary JC’s, Juke, and Lone Wolf OMB.

“It’s an annual tradition that always works,” says James Goll, president of the 24 Group, reps for Tobacco Road. “We’re expecting a ton of people.”

The event runs from noon to 6 p.m. this Sunday, April 7, at Tobacco Road. Admission is free. Check out T-Road’s website for additional details.
