Independent Journalism in Miami Needs You
We need to raise $10,000 by August 9 to support the reporting our community depends on. Reader support keeps us independent and is playing a larger role in funding local journalism and shaping what comes next. If you believe independent local journalism matters, make a contribution today.
Ketchup is the great equalizer. No matter where we come from or what we do, the one thing we can all agree on is that a burger needs ketchup.
Heinz, the brand that basically monopolizes the industry, is spicing up the classic condiment by introducing a new jalapeño variety — and it’s available for presale through Facebook for 11 days.
For the limited-edition flavor, Heinz blends real jalapeños into its original recipe, which has been around since 1876. The jalapeño variety is part of the company’s Christmas promotion, and every order is entered into a drawing for one of 350 Heinz Christmas ornaments.
Last year, Heinz came out with a well-received, limited-edition balsamic vinegar ketchup.
One bottle of Heinz jalapeño ketchup is $2.49 plus $2.50 shipping.
Purchase two bottles for $4.98 (plus $4.01 shipping), and you’ll receive
a third bottle free. The offer is available only in the
continental United States and military bases.
Though it might seem like an odd gift at first, when you combine the ketchup with these Kobe beef burgers ($99.95), you’ve got one hell of a holiday treat for the carnivore in your life.
