Last week’s Supreme Court decisions have stirred up lively debates on the state of our judicial branch. The Bong Hits 4 Jesus case earned national media attention, and has had everyone questioning the limits of free speech.
Steve Klotz responded angrily to an article by Jonah Goldberg, in which he asked:
Don’t many of the same people who claim that you have free-speech rights in public schools also insist that you don’t have the right to pray in them?
Klotz rightfully acknowledged the right of students to pray in school, but maintained that they should not be forced to pray, as he was:
We prayed all the time, right through high school. I prayed the girl behind me would open her legs when I “accidentally” dropped my pencil. (The view was called “tossing a hat.”)
