Reader support matters more than ever
We're in the final stretch of our summer campaign. Our goal is to raise $10,000 by August 9 to support the journalism our community relies on. Reader support is helping shape the future of local news.
The Miami Heat dropped a preseason away game to the Washington Wizards last night, but perhaps the Verizon Center’s crab dip had just as much to do with it as the team.
Mario Chalmers was pretty much a non-factor last night, and he blames his poor performance on downing the arena concession stand crab dip.
Chalmers went 0-9 last night and was responsible for four turnovers in the Heat’s 100-82 loss.
We’re just wondering why anyone would even risk eating seafood from an arena concession stand in the first place … let alone someone who’s supposed to be playing later that night.
Guess he didn’t want to wait to get back to Miami to celebrate the start of stone-crab season.
