A breakfast favorite and Ocean Drive staple for years, Front Porch Café will be moving up the street from its home of 20 years at the Penguin Hotel to the Z Ocean Hotel.
“There were some lease issues here,” said Michael Hamilton, co-owner of the restaurant, about the reason for the move.
Hamilton said he expects the restaurant to open at its new location on December 1 with as little downtime as possible during the move. For now, the restaurant is still operating normally at the Penguin Hotel.
At the new location, visitors can expect pool tables, happy hours drink specials, longer hours (daily from 7 a.m. to midnight) and a beefed up dinner menu. About the space, Hamilton said it has a different atmosphere with indoor and outdoor bars and, of course, a front porch.
