Marilyn Manson has been many things — the anti-Christ, an androgynous alien, a Weimar theatric — but little know of Manson’s other character, that of a painter, a role he takes pretty seriously. In fact, for the past two decades he’s been amassing a body of work which will be displayed for the first time ever in the United States during Art Basel.

The exhibition, Trismegistus, will feature over 20 painted by the shock-rocker done in the last eight years. The work will be on display at the 101 Exhibit (101 NE 40th Street, Miami) in heart of the Design District.

But that’s not all, leave it to Opium Group’s newest lounge, Louis at the Gansevoort South, to host the opening celebration for the exhibit. The invite-only event, featuring Ruff Club DJ Spencer Product, will be held Thursday, December 4, starting at 11 p.m. No word yet if Manson himself is making a cameo.
