Have you ever seen ten piano aficionados killing it at the same time? No? Well, of course you haven’t. That sort of thing doesn’t just happen. It takes a lovely, brilliant mind to orchestrate such a feat of musical prowess, and luckily, Barry University (11300 NW Second Ave., Miami Shores) has one such individual on its roster: internationally renowned composer Michael Torke.
Miami Grands will tug at your heart, your soul, and your sense of reality with a “rhythmically powerful movement themed around well-known Miami areas/pastimes.” Those down-home inspirations include the Everglades, South Beach, Star Island, Coconut Grove, and even mojitos and stilettos.
