“I don’t really celebrate Christmas; I celebrate Festivus,” George Costanza famously said in Seinfeld. “It’s nothing. It’s a stupid holiday my father invented. It doesn’t exist.” Except it does, and it’s happening at Miami’s oldest brewpub, the Abbey Brewing Co.
The third-annual themed holiday celebration Festivus for the Rest Of Us invites Seinfeld devotees to do their best impersonation of George, Kramer, Elaine, or Jerry — or if you’re a true fan, maybe Newman — for a chance to win a $50 bar tab. Enjoy Festivus-themed cocktails and craft beers (whatever that means), as well as complimentary grub until it’s all gone (which might be the most magical of Festivus miracles).
Festivities begin Sunday at 2 p.m. and last until 6 a.m. at the Abbey Brewing Company (11115 NW 16th St., Miami Beach). The only rule is you must be at least 21 to join the fun. Happy Festivus, people.
