In the realm of TV theme songs, “Love is All Around” from The Mary Tyler Moore Show rates somewhere below M*A*S*H’s “Suicide is Painless,” but way above the admittedly robust Facts of Live theme. So, it is with great pleasure that we announce that Pitchfork/Crossfade fave and South Florida resident MillionYoung has taken “Love is All Around” and suitably chilled it out.
The original song was an efficient 52 seconds long, so there are a few liberties taken here to get the end result up to the three-minute mark — none that we disapprove of. Panda Bear is hugging himself somewhere. Download it over at Transparent (via Fader).
