Wine, cheese, and art — three peas in a delightful pod. They’re fine on their own, but combining them makes a time-honored necessity for any average Joe enjoying art events.
The first Thursday of every month during the academic year, the Lowe Art Museum hosts the LoweDown Happy Hour, designed to broaden and deepen appreciation of the visual arts. Each month has a different theme along with a gallery tour. Enjoy light fare plus treats such as Cabot cheese, Rex Goliath wine, Nestlé coffee, and Bacardi cocktails while interacting with a unique crowd of Lowe members, patrons from the community, and young professionals, as well as UM faculty, staff, and students.
Admission is free for museum members and $10 for nonmembers. From 7 to 9 p.m., guests can take in the latest exhibitions and permanent collections on display at the Lowe Art Museum (1301 Stanford Dr., Coral Gables). Call 305-284-3535 or visit miami.edu/lowe.

We’re thankful for you. Are you thankful for us?
We feel thankful for our staff and for the privilege of fulfilling our mission to be an unparalleled source of information and insight in Miami. We’re aiming to raise $30,000 by December 31, so we can continue covering what matters most to this community.
Help us continue giving back to Miami.
