Do you ever get the urge to just paint old records? No? Well, that’s the difference between you and the music-loving artists gathering in Little Haiti this weekend.
Analog Art 2 is a collaboration among a number of local groups and artists aiming to prove that old vinyl records are still relevant (and not just to the snobby music hipster set). The public is invited to view the work of more than 30 cutting-edge artists who’ve used the plastic platters as canvases to show off their skills. Local artists Nate Dee, Robert Jimenez, and Analog Art brainchild WHUT are among the creatives who’ll put their work on display.
The second edition of the event will take place at Yo Space (294 NE 62nd St., Miami) this Saturday from 7 to 10 p.m. and will feature live music by Monkey Punch and George Spits of Llamabeats. Food and drinks will be provided by Midtown Smokeshop.
Sat., July 19, 7-10 p.m., 2014
