If ever there were a night made for the kind of brain-bashing mayhem that results in permanent memory loss, it’d be Saturday. And if ever there were a punk club made for the kind of epic Saturdays you’d totally love to remember, it’d be Churchill’s Pub. No shock, then, this weekend is gonna be another rager full of forgotten moments, and it’s gonna be called Killer Night.

Kicking off at 8 p.m., the riffage will be overabundant as four brutal crews bring some borderline dangerous fun to the Little Haiti party room. Led by Austin-slash-NYC one-woman rock show White Widow (AKA Carla Patullo) and her two-piece backing band of bassist Colleen Bonner and drummer Marty Mack, the lineup will also include local heavies Murderous Rampage, Shroud Eater, and Flees. For her part, White Widow delivers gritty pop punches that sound something like PJ Harvey Frenching Live Through This-era Courtney Love. Our Miami boys, meanwhile, prefer to wallow in the more sludgy, thrashy, and hardcore end of the punk pool. There’s a $5 cover. Now go get lost.

Sat., Jan. 9, 8 p.m., 2010
