When all is lost, the Mountain Goats are still here, and they couldn’t be happier about it. The American folk band beloved by wayward youths, college radio, and idealistic drinkers nationwide has enjoyed a long and meaningful career. Last year saw the release of their 14th full-length, Transcendental Youth, and now they’re touring the nation in support of that album. The catchy yet poetic trio will stomp through Culture Room (3045 N. Federal Hwy., Fort Lauderdale) Monday for a special performance sure to appeal to the outcast in everyone. Transcendental Youth is a kind of love letter to everyone who’s ever felt a little different from the rest. And of course, the band is sure to play hits from classic records such as Tallahassee, We Shall All Be Healed, and Get Lonely. Come out and come together under one roof of great tunes. Any show in Florida is especially meaningful because the Mountain Goats have played up a love affair with the state for years. The concert starts at 7:30 p.m., and tickets cost $20 plus fees via ticketmaster.com. Call 954-564-1074 or visit cultureroom.net.
