It’s Wednesday, you’re suffering from the midweek malaise, and if one more person wishes you a happy hump day, you’ll scream. The good news is La Bodeguita del Medio, one of Miami’s latest and greatest Cuban restaurants, hosts an extended happy hour called Champagne Party all Wednesday long.
Yes, siree, the bubbly flows freely for the fairer sex from noon till 9 p.m. The better news is that the hours from 4 to 8 p.m. get even happier. During that marvelous window of time, mojitos — La Bodeguita del Medio’s specialty (its menu boasts 23 varieties) — are two for one. And from 7 to 9 p.m., Spanish-language radio station La Kalle 98.3 FM will be broadcasting live. As you dance the night away in the cavernous, tropical neon nightspot, the bubbly will be flowing everywhere, but remember what Chris Rock said: There is still no sex in the Champagne Room. And happy hump day to you.
