With six days of round-the-clock events, you’ll have trouble staying awake or, God forbid, have to skip a few parties during White Party Week. What began in 1985 at Vizcaya as a massive celebration to raise money for HIV/AIDS research and awareness has turned into a global phenomenon drawing participants from all over the globe. Mova will host the White Heat Kick-Off party this Wednesday from 9 p.m. until 3 a.m. Admission is free, but do the world and your conscience a favor by making a donation at the door. If you’re in the mood for something pink, hit Bar 721 (721 Lincoln Ln., Miami Beach), where women will get down to raise awareness at Dolce: A Women’s Event. The bash begins this Wednesday at 10 p.m., and tickets cost $8 to $10.
WPW will climax November 27 at Vizcaya (3251 S. Miami Ave., Miami), where the glamorously iconic White Party will offer samples from area restaurants, a silent auction, and the Viva Las Divas Casino Lounge. The party starts at 6:30 p.m.; tickets cost $150 for general admission and $250 for VIP. And don’t worry — you’ll have plenty of time to come down from your peak with other WPW 2010 highlights such as Muscle Beach at the 12th Street Beach and Noche Blanca at the Cameo Theater (1445 Washington Ave., Miami Beach), both November 29.
