When the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie, they say it’s love. But the feeling you get when you come across a vintage pair of authentic Schiaparelli sunglasses sitting on a table in a cobblestone courtyard with a handwritten price tag bearing only two digits? That’s amore. And at the Coral Gables Museum’s (285 Aragon Ave., Coral Gables) new Mercato Italiano, you just might find it.
Open Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., this Italian-themed market promises plenty of vendors, hawking all sorts of goodies, including clothing, antiques, food, and artwork. The Mercato takes place on the museum’s piazza, but while you’re there, you might as well check out the stunning 1939 Building, which houses seven art galleries. For a Saturday-morning excursion, it sounds molto buono, no?
