You might not have been able to watch a daytime soap since you submitted to the nine-to-five grind, but we’re sure you’d recognize Victoria Rowell, a Young and the Restless beauty. Until her departure from the show this year, she had gaggles of Drucilla-obsessed fans tuning in daily to see whom she would be betraying, seducing, or plotting against next. Today at Books & Books she’ll be dishing drama of a different kind when she signs copies of her memoir, The Women Who Raised Me.
The book tells the story of a mixed-race girl thrown into the foster care system but led out of a potentially downward spiral by various influential women. Her Y&R story lines have nothing on her true story of abandonment, strength, and perseverance, which explains why the book has been lauded as a must-read for women everywhere. The signing starts at 6:00 p.m. Admission is free.
