It’s hard to meet a girl to take home to Mama, especially if you’re a girl who likes girls. Gay clubs and lesbian bars are fun and all, but what about women looking to hook up in settings that don’t involve strobe lights, cigarette smoke, and random straight people?
Local lesbians looking to meet new friends in fun ways can join the Fist, a queer-girl meet-up group dedicated to bringing together ladies in the community through events such as potlucks, indie-cinema nights, community bike rides, and all types of excursions. This Thursday, the Fist has an open invitation for its second meetup at Bird Bowl (9275 Bird Rd., Miami). Grab some stinky shoes and get in on some girl-on-girl bowling action. Ladies can also enjoy two-for-one Long Island iced teas.
