Foodies, carve out a few new notches in your belts. Miami’s finest chefs are about to fill our city’s collective stomach in the name of hungry children everywhere.
Appallingly, there are more than 637,000 kids in Florida who don’t know when or where they’ll eat again. Share Our Strength’s Taste of the Nation aims to change that through the satiating power of good grub. Led by event chair Allen Susser (of Chef Allen fame) and restaurant chair André Bienvenu (of Joe’s Stone Crab fame), more than 40 local chef-stars will participate in creating an epic array of edibles to help put an end to childhood hunger.
This is year 25 for the food fest, and the lineup for this edition will offer small bites from the likes of Bourbon Steak, Joe’s Stone Crab, Red the Steakhouse, STK, Yardbird, and plenty of other local eateries, as well as mixology treats from Double Cross vodka, Castronovo wines, and Fragoli liqueur. Attendees can also get in on a Bloomingdales-sponsored live and silent auction featuring Cole Haan kicks, personal shopping services, John Hardy jewelry, and other upper-crust treats du jour.
