Everybody knows that Miami weekends start as soon as the clock strikes 5:00 p.m., Thursday. There’s been no official decree, but for some reason each and every Friday, phone calls go unanswered and appointments are mysteriously cancelled. One explanation for this delinquency could be Thursdays at the Isle, a monthly poolside get-together at the Grove Isle Hotel. This bayfront oasis will give you plenty of motives to call in “sick,” with an open bar from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. and a live band rocking all night.
Hosted by Harley-Davidson, tonight’s shindig is called Pop Rock, and will feature a live art performance by Anastasia the Great, and a fashion show with models rockin’ threads by Lei Marco and fierce jewelry from Rock Bands. The Grove Isle Hotel is located at 4 Grove Isle Dr., Coconut Grove. Thursdays at the Isle are on the last Thursday of each month and start at 7:00 p.m.
