Few things can beat a sunny afternoon in the park with good people and good tunes, especially when the beautiful day is dedicated to a great cause. Today the members of Food Not Bombs Miami are hosting a fantastic fundraising concert to continue fighting the good fight to feed the hungry. There will be lots of local talent to jam out to, including Paper Dolls, Rachel Goodrich, Aurora, and folk-rockers Raffa and Rainer. FNBers will also have a small free market featuring a zine distribution zone and textbooks for college folks with hurting wallets. In case you’re looking to do something a little more worthwhile with your weekends than nursing hangovers, members will also be actively recruiting and spreading the word about FNB involvement.
As they do every Sunday, FNBers will also be serving free delicious vegetarian meals to the homeless in downtown Miami. Everyone is encouraged to attend and contribute by bringing canned/nonperishable vegetarian goods or monetary donations. Join the revolution at 4:30 p.m. at Bicentennial Park.
