In case you didn’t know, wine is not to be chugged like a six-pack of cold beers at a frat party. Whether you take it from a bottle or a box, there’s an art to it. Don’t worry, you’ll still reach the tipsy finish line, but you’ll do it with style. So, seen, swirled, sniffed, sipped, and savored: yes. Gulped down: hell no. But if you need an entire class to break you of your habit, we totally understand. Tonight at a tasting at Wine69, winemaker Kevin Buckler will walk you through his catalogue of handcrafted wines, thereby encouraging simultaneous drinking and learning.

Buckler’s Adobe Road Winery produces vino variations including award-winning Zinfandels, Cabernet Sauvignons, Syrahs, and more. Beginning at 7:30 p.m., he’ll be available to answer all of your wino questions: How far do I stick my nose into the glass? Do I swallow? And as a plus, you’ll be privy to an exclusive, sit-down tasting of his number one-ranked Pinot Noir. The class will set you back 15 bucks, but true sophistication is priceless.

Thu., March 27, 7:30 p.m., 2008
