Some people would have you believe the Brits are all bad teeth, rainy days, and drugged-out rockers à la Winehouse and Doherty. But we can be honest: A cold, frothy Guinness and a few ditties from the Spice Girls can put a smile on our face any day. Take it easy — we wear an American flag pin on our lapel every day, but we still get a little moist when something from across the pond infiltrates our world. Which is why we’ll be trackside at the Homestead-Miami Speedway when the MINI Takes the States 2008 tour comes to town. The cutest-car-that-could is kicking off its summer tour with a weekend chock full of fun for owners, enthusiasts, and haters alike.

The festival is plying you with autocross, go-cart racing, rock climbing, and plenty of product placement. And Michelle Branch is slated to perform at 8 p.m., so we’re sure the MINI in you will enjoy that. The festival rolls from noon to 10 p.m. Tickets cost $20 in advance.
