The Techno Loft at Space has very quickly become Miami’s premier venue for the slickest big room international techno, and this summer alone has seen stellar performances by the likes of Steve Bug, Camea, and Adultnapper. Saturday, August 29 brings Minus label legends Magda and Troy Pierce, two of the top emissaries of the Detroit by way of Berlin minimal sound, for what is sure to be one of the the EDM highlights of the summer.
Detroit native Magda is one of the most highly-regarded DJ/producers in the international techno circuit, and arguably the female counterpart to minimal king Richie Hawtin, who signed her to his label in the early 2000s and with whom she regularly shares the bill. Midwesterner Troy Pierce originally hooked up with Magda at the 2001 Detroit Music Festival before relocating to Berlin where he has made his mark and gained a massive following through sheer production genius, both solo and through his acclaimed gothic techno side project Louderbach, with vocalist Gibby Miller.
