Sans translation, this track could simply be more feel-good “exotic” or “world” music by Kenyans and their American buddies, courtesy of Golden’s Alex Minoff and Ian Eagleson along with Onyango Wuod Omari’s snare-centered backbeat and the late Otieno Jagwasi’s vocals darting in and out. The liners provide Jagwasi’s sentiments in English, and a sunbaked entreaty to dance becomes an earnest question: “I am asking President Bush and Osama/Why do you have to kill innocent people when you just want to kill each other?”
