Anchoring his Serial Hodgepodge melodies are chipped acid (micro) house and helical hip-hop hiccups. “Ask You” is prime flutter funk screen printed with a gargling chorus. “Figment” features whirling and stalling mecho-minutiae. As Lusine’s Ghostly debut and sixth album overall, Serial Hodgepodge is an easily digested, meticulously sculpted collection of some upfront, syncopated angularities paired with prudent accoutrements.
