Man, how amazingly cool would it be to learn that an outfit named Cattle Decapitation is actually a Celine Dion tribute act? The gory reality is that this band of sinister San Diego vegetarians makes exactly the type of gruesome death-racket you’d expect: an extreme grind-core/thrash onslaught, replete with guitars as sharp as surgical steel, drumming as relentless as a slayer cyborg, and growling vocals straight from the ravenous belly of the beast. You might feel like you’re being dragged into the woods for a ritual disembowelment, but even more fun could ensue via zealous, possibly inebriated fans attempting to shout requests for “Colonic Villus Biopsy Performed on the Gastro-Intestinally Incapable.”
