$7,500

Since its opening last month, the folks at Sweat Records have worked hard at living up to the expectations surrounding them, inviting local DJs and performers to play amid its CD racks and thrift-store couches. Their first full-fledged show — following an Infiltrate showcase during Winter Music Conference — is a good one, featuring indie folkstress Kimya Dawson, power pop quartet the Pharmacy, acoustic songwriter Matty Popchart, and local country rockers the Down Home Southernaires.

Kimya Dawson, the Pharmacy, Matty Popchart, and the Down Home Southernaires perform at 8:00 p.m. Monday, May 2, at Sweat Records, 2320 NE 2nd Ave, Miami. Tickets cost $3. Call 305-573-5681.
