A parent of two in Orange County Public Schools and cofounder of the Florida Freedom to Read Project, Stephana Ferrell is a leading advocate for academic freedom and equitable access to education. She began organizing in response to policy violations around book removals in the fall of 2021. Alongside co-director and fellow public-school parent Raegan Miller, she has helped establish FFTRP as a trusted statewide resource for defending the freedom to read in Florida.
