When it comes to comedy, some people like watching outrageously dangerous stunts and painfully embarrassing pranks while others enjoy a more traditional stand-up approach. When outlandish behavior and hour-long sets blend together on stage, everyone’s a winner. Steve-O began experimenting with stand-up about four years ago. But after spending two years in a sober-living facility and filming Jackass 3D with his MTV BFFs, the 36-year-old performer decided to get serious about being funny. The comic’s routine touches on several aspects of his life from admittedly horrible sexual abilities to Jackass notoriety to the downward spiral he managed to survive. As expected, he relies heavily on humor that involves bodily harm. In a past routine, he cuts limes on stage while telling the crowd, “You know, I graduated from Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Clown College, and they did not teach me how to cut limes in half and squeeze all of the juice directly into my eyeball.” Then he does it.
